NLB Komercijalna banka, a member of the NLB Group, continues to set benchmarks in business sustainability, introducing positive change for both its employees and the community where it operates in order to remain the bank of first choice for employees and clients. In addition to being the first Family Friendly certified bank in Serbia, it has recently completed renovation of its central office building, thus becoming the first bank in the Group that has adjusted its workspace to the sustainable construction principles.

The new, smart and energy efficient office building of NLB Komercijalna banka represents a key step towards achieving commitment to sustainability, promoting corporate social responsibility and attaining the highest governance standards.

This ambitious reconstruction of 10,000 square metres of workspace required more than 750 working days of nearly 150 professionals. Exceptionally high quality standards for materials and equipment during the reconstruction, from modernised heating, cooling and ventilation systems to integrated light and air conditioning management sensors, reduce power consumption, making the workspace energy efficient.

“Reconstruction of the Bank’s central office building is another key step in achieving our sustainability and CSR goals. We are proud of this investment, worth about 10 million euros, because we know that by investing in environmental innovation, we reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, with additional economic efficiency. In the coming period, we will deploy a solar power plant, contributing to the reduction of our carbon footprint,” underlined Vlastimir Vuković, President of NLB Komercijalna banka’s Executive Board.

In addition to environmental aspects, NLB Komercijalna banka’s new green building offers impressive work premises that by far exceed expectations. The space is designed for meeting various needs, from conference rooms with the latest equipment, green oases with plants and natural light, to a coffee shop for relaxation and socialising and an entertainment and education zone that supports the exchange of ideas and team building.
