The purpose of this project is the cultivation of 1 ha of blueberries and the construction of a warehouse for their storage.
Due to the unfavorable climatic conditions, it affects the faster deterioration of blueberries, because blueberries belong to the group of plants that are sensitive to moisture, and the need for warehouses to store blueberries at suitable and appropriate temperatures according to the characteristics of the type them for a longer period of use.
The warehouse will be built in the village of Terpeza, municipality of Malisheva, the land where this investment will be made is privately owned by the applicant, also the cultivation of 1 ha of blueberries will be done in this location.
Their target is the local and foreign market.
The general objectives of this measure are: increasing the competitiveness of Kosovar agriculture and import substitution, creating new jobs, supporting farmers in selected sectors, with the aim of aliganing with rules, standards, policies and EU practices, supporting economic and social development, addressing the challenges of climate change through the use of renewable energy.
The specific objectives related to the tree sector are: increasing the production of trees and vegetables for commercial purposes, modernizing farms through the use of new equipment, reducing post-harvest losses through investments in farm, storage technology, capacity for cooling, sorting and packaging, renewable energy production.
